Song Shenzong appears in 105.苏东坡：一腔豪迈之气，一肚皮不合时宜 as the 北宋 emperor under whom 王安石’s reform program gains power and 苏轼’s criticism becomes politically dangerous. The episode presents him as still appreciating Su Shi’s talent even as the reform conflict intensifies.
The source uses Shenzong to make the 乌台诗案 more than a literary misunderstanding. Su Shi’s poems and memorial language could be read as attacks on imperial policy or the emperor himself, so Poetry As Political Evidence / 诗文作为政治证据 became a way for censorial actors to transform literary speech into a loyalty problem.
