南唐 / Southern Tang

Southern Tang / 南唐 is one of the important southern regimes in [[FiveDynastiesTenKingdoms|五代十国]]. EP252 《太平年》之外的五代十国，什么样？ groups it with [[FormerShu|前蜀]], [[LaterShu|后蜀]], and Wu as a relatively parallel power in relation to the central-plain dynasties.

The source notes that Southern Tang is one of the better-studied Ten Kingdoms cases and points to material remains such as Nanjing-area tombs. It therefore helps make southern states visible as cultural and political actors rather than footnotes to later Song unification.
