Sudan

Sudan is the main conflict setting in Outsider chance: ending Sudan’s proxy war. The episode treats the civil war as both a humanitarian catastrophe and a Foreign-Backed Civil War, where domestic armed camps are sustained by outside patrons interested in Sudan’s Red Sea coastline, gold, arable land, and future political alignment.

The source says the [[SudaneseArmedForces|SAF]] retook Khartoum and controls much of the north and east, while the [[RapidSupportForces|RSF]] still controls much of western Sudan, especially Darfur.
