Sudanese Armed Forces
The Sudanese Armed Forces, or SAF, are one of the two main armed camps in Sudan’s war as described in Outsider chance: ending Sudan’s proxy war. The episode says the SAF retook Khartoum from the [[RapidSupportForces|RSF]] and controls much of northern and eastern Sudan.
The source links recent SAF battlefield gains to outside support, especially weapons and drones from Turkey, while also naming Saudi Arabia and Egypt as supporters. That makes the SAF part of Foreign-Backed Civil War as well as a possible participant in any externally brokered ceasefire.
