隋昱 / Sui Yu is synthesized as a subordinate of 卢芳 whose planned defection breaks Lu Fang’s immediate frontier force in Jianwu 13 / 37 CE. Hanji 714 says Sui Yu plans to seize Lu Fang and surrender to Eastern Han; Lu Fang flees back to Xiongnu, while Sui Yu brings the remaining followers to Luoyang and receives office and title from 光武帝刘秀.
