孙河 / Sun He (late Han)

Overview

孙河 / Sun He is a Sun-family follower whose wiki role now spans early 孙策 recruitment, the later 丹阳郡变, and the posthumous troop-inheritance branch through his son 孙韶. Hanji 983 uses him as part of the early Danyang recruitment network, Hanji 1067 presents him as the Sun-side investigator killed after 孙翊’s assassination, and Hanji 1068 shows his remaining troops becoming Sun Shao’s first command base.

Current Profile

Hanji 983 introduces Sun He as one of the companions Sun Ce brings toward 曲阿 after 袁术 sends Sun Ce to recruit through 吴景 and 孙贲. In that source, Sun He’s main function is network evidence: Sun Ce’s early capacity depends on kinship, followers, and 丹阳郡 access rather than personal charisma alone.

Hanji 1067 adds a later and more dangerous role. After Sun Yi is killed, Sun He comes to investigate, but 妫览 and 戴员 also kill him. The episode uses his death to show that the conspirators are not merely hiding an isolated murder; they are willing to attack Sun-family follow-up authority.

Hanji 1068 adds the succession-of-command aftermath. Sun He’s seventeen-year-old son Sun Shao gathers the remaining troops, repairs and guards 泾县, passes Sun Quan’s readiness test, and receives formal command over the force Sun He left behind.

Key Characteristics

  • Belongs to Sun Ce’s early follower and kinship-adjacent recruitment network.
  • Appears in Danyang-linked mobilization before Sun Ce’s larger Jiangdong consolidation.
  • Functions as an investigator after Sun Yi’s murder in Hanji 1067.
  • Becomes a second Sun-side victim, escalating the Danyang conspiracy.
  • Leaves a troop group that Sun Shao can reorganize into a recognized local command.

Evidence

Early recruitment network

  • Hanji 983 names Sun He with 吕范 as companions in Sun Ce’s Danyang recruitment branch.

Investigation and killing

  • Hanji 1067 says Sun He comes to check the Danyang killing and is also killed by Gui Lan and Dai Yuan.

Sun-family exposure

  • Hanji 1067 makes Sun He’s death evidence that local conspirators can strike beyond the first assassination victim.

Posthumous force inheritance

  • Hanji 1068 says Sun Shao gathers Sun He’s remaining troops and receives formal command after proving the city’s defensive readiness.

Qualifications

The current page remains narrow. Hanji 983 does not develop Sun He’s independent action, Hanji 1067’s transcript context may compress exact office and location details, and Hanji 1068 develops Sun He mostly through Sun Shao’s inheritance of his remaining troops. The profile is therefore limited to early Sun Ce accompaniment, later investigative death, and posthumous command continuity.

What Changed

  • Migrated the page to synthesis-v1.
  • Added Hanji 1067’s investigative-death layer after Sun Yi’s assassination.
  • Added Hanji 1068’s Sun Shao branch as posthumous troop continuity.

  • 孙策 - leader Sun He accompanies during early recruitment.
  • 吕范 - fellow early companion in Hanji 983.
  • 吴景 - Danyang-linked recruitment channel.
  • 孙贲 - Danyang-linked recruitment channel.
  • 丹阳郡 - setting of both the recruitment branch and later conspiracy.

  • 戴员 - conspirator who kills Sun He.
  • 丹阳郡变 - event that gives Sun He his later death role.
  • 孙韶 - son who gathers and commands Sun He’s remaining troops.
