孙坚 / Sun Jian (late Han)

Hanji 905 backfills Sun Jian’s first visible late-Han emergence before the Yellow Turban and western-campaign branches. In the 174 CE suppression of 许生, Sun Jian recruits more than one thousand fighters and helps the Yangzhou-Danyang side end the revolt. The source reads this as 危机机会转化: the same local disorder that frightens others becomes a field where Sun Jian can display nerve, command potential, and usable military organization.

The same episode adds the youth-bandit story as character setup. At seventeen, Sun Jian reportedly bluffs river bandits by acting as if he is directing troops, scatters them, and gains local fame. The page keeps the anecdote source-scoped, but it clarifies the later Sun Jian profile: his early reputation is not only battlefield competence under commanders, but a repeated pattern of converting danger into public recognition.

Hanji 930 adds Sun Jian’s Yellow Turban recognition branch before the western-campaign advice in Hanji 935. The source says Sun Jian already had military merit, including killing 许昌, and that 张宁 had reported his achievement to the court, but he received only a county-assistant post.

朱儁 changes the use-value of that latent record by deliberately calling Sun Jian into the Yellow Turban campaign as left-army sima. Sun Jian brings Jiangdong recruits, fights under Zhu Jun, and is first to climb the wall during the attack on 孙夏. The source’s “时来易失,赴机在速” frame makes Sun Jian a case where 可交换能力 needs a short recognition-and-action window to become political capital.

Hanji 935 adds Sun Jian’s earliest late-Han campaign branch in this wiki. Serving under 周慎 after 张温 drives 边章 and 韩遂 toward Yuzhong, Sun Jian proposes taking 10,000 troops to cut the rebels’ grain road while Zhou Shen supports with the main army.

The plan is ignored, and the result reverses the logic Sun Jian identified: the rebels cut the Han army’s own grain road at Kuiyuan Gorge, forcing Zhou Shen to retreat. This source therefore makes Sun Jian’s early profile not only brave or severe, but logistically alert before Hanji 936 develops his later 军法威严 advice against 董卓.

Hanji 936 adds an earlier military-law branch before Sun Jian’s Changsha and anti-Dong-Zhuo campaign material. Serving under 张温, Sun Jian privately argues that 董卓 should be executed for contempt toward command, failure to attack the rebels, and delayed response after returning without decisive achievement.

The episode makes Sun Jian an early reader of 军法威严. His advice is not presented as battlefield cruelty for its own sake, but as a warning that visible impunity by a powerful subordinate will make Zhang Wen’s command harder to enforce.

Hanji 938 backfills Sun Jian’s early Changsha merit branch. 汉灵帝 appoints him Changsha taishou after 曲星 raises a local force, and Sun Jian suppresses the revolt and receives the Wu Cheng marquis title. This makes the later inherited-title material in Hanji 1019 depend on an earlier local pacification record rather than appearing only through Sun Ce’s appointment package.

Hanji 952 adds Sun Jian’s pre-袁术 rise before his cleaner anti-董卓 front in Hanji 955. In 荆州 / Jingzhou, he acts on Cao Yin’s forged order against Wang Rui without verification, and Wang Rui dies by suicide after Sun Jian names his offense as “愚昧无知.”

The same source makes Sun Jian’s Nanyang logistics coercive. After Zhang Zi refuses grain, Sun Jian lures and kills him, causing Nanyang to supply him from fear. He then reaches Luyang and joins Yuan Shu, who recommends him for acting General Who Smashes the Caitiffs and Yu Province inspector, making Sun Jian’s early authority partly a Yuan-Shu patronage product under a captured court.

Hanji 955 backfills Sun Jian’s most concrete anti-董卓 campaign branch before the coalition rupture in Hanji 958. After 徐荣 defeats him near Liang, 祖茂 diverts pursuit so Sun Jian can escape, regroup at 阳人之战, exploit 吕布’s sabotage of 胡轸, and kill 华雄.

The same source makes Sun Jian the corrective figure behind the famous Hua Xiong memory. 《三国演义》 attaches the killing to 关羽, but this episode’s historical frame credits Sun Jian, then follows him through 袁术’s grain cutoff, Dong Zhuo’s failed marriage-and-office offer through 李傕, the entry into 洛阳, ritual cleanup of the imperial temples, and discovery of the 传国玉玺.

Hanji 958 adds Sun Jian’s direct anti-Dong-Zhuo campaign role before the later inherited-troop and Sun Ce branches. The source says 袁术 sends him against 董卓, and Sun Jian defeats Dong Zhuo’s and 吕布’s forces while the broader 反董卓联盟 is already fraying.

The episode makes Sun Jian a victim of allied rear seizure. While he fights in the coalition’s public cause, 袁绍’s appointee 周昂 takes Yangcheng from his rear. Sun Jian retakes it with help from Yuan Shu’s side, but 公孙越 dies in the fighting, turning Sun Jian’s front into the trigger for a wider Yuan Shao-公孙瓒 rupture.

Hanji 982 adds Sun Jian’s marriage-resource branch before the Hanji 983 inherited-troop story. The source describes him as a lower-background military actor whose marriage to 吴夫人 connects him with 钱塘吴氏, Jiangdong gentry channels, trade routes, and the later 吴景/丹阳郡 soldier pipeline. This makes Sun Jian part of 姻亲资源建构, not only Sun Ce’s absent father.

Hanji 983 adds Sun Jian as the absent father whose old alliance and old troops shape 孙策’s first approach to 袁术. Sun Ce invokes Sun Jian’s prior relationship with Yuan Shu and asks to inherit the old force, but Yuan Shu only later grants part of those troops after Sun Ce’s Danyang setback.

孙坚 / Sun Jian (late Han) enters this wiki branch through Hanji 1019 as 孙策’s father, whose Wu Cheng marquis title is transferred to Sun Ce under 曹操’s court-backed appointment package. This page is disambiguated from the existing modern-researcher page Sun Jian.

The episode does not develop Sun Jian’s biography. His wiki role here is genealogical and political: the inherited title helps turn Sun Ce’s regional military strength into a more formal late-Han status order tied to 汉献帝 and 会稽郡.

Hanji 1001 adds an earlier symbolic branch. The source says 袁术 hears that Sun Jian has the 传国玉玺, detains Sun Jian’s wife, and forces the seal into his own hands. This does not make Sun Jian a developed actor in the episode, but it makes his household the channel through which Yuan Shu gains an imperial object that later feeds an unsupported title claim.
