太原 / Taiyuan appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》95丨长平之战后秦国为什么没有灭了赵国（1） as a 赵国 northwestern target in Qin’s post-长平之战 offensive. The episode names 司马梗 as the Qin commander assigned to attack Taiyuan and 上党郡 while 王龁 attacks 武安 and 皮牢.

《资治通鉴·秦纪》103-1｜司马迁看中的信陵君算是小人吗？ turns Taiyuan from a target area into a Qin commandery notice.
