田广 / Tian Guang (Qi King)
田广 / Tian Guang enters the wiki through Hanji 151 part 1 as 田荣’s son, installed by 田横 as Qi king after Tian Rong’s death. This page is disambiguated from 田光, the Yan elder connected to 荆轲.
In this source, Tian Guang’s importance is dynastic and tactical rather than personal. Tian Heng gathers scattered Qi soldiers, uses Tian Guang to preserve the restored Tian-line kingship, and continues resistance against 项羽 around 莒城 / 城阳. The move keeps 齐国 from becoming pacified after Tian Rong is killed.
The source uses Tian Guang’s installation to explain the timing of 彭城之战. Xiang Yu remains stuck trying to finish the Qi war while 刘邦 builds a coalition and moves on 彭城. Tian Guang therefore marks the point where Tian Rong’s personal defeat becomes a new Qi resistance center.
