Overview

Tiresias is the dead prophet whose underworld warning tells Odysseus how the return can still fail.

In 687. The Odyssey: Hero of the Trojan Horse (Part 1), Odysseus must travel to Hades and let the dead drink sacrificial blood before Tiresias can speak. Tiresias warns him not to harm the cattle of Helios on Thrinacia and foretells that disobedience will leave Odysseus returning late, miserable, without his comrades, and facing suitors in his house.
