Hanji 937 backfills Wang Guo before the failed Chen Cang branch. The source identifies him as a 狄道 man who sends 黄衍 to persuade 傅燮 to surrender at 汉阳郡 and become a rebel leader. Fu Xie’s rejection makes Wang Guo part of the source’s final 守官赴死 test.
Hanji 938 continues Wang Guo before the failed Chen Cang branch. The episode names him as a Di Dao man chosen as nominal leader by 马腾 and 韩遂 after 耿鄙’s Liangzhou force collapses, then sends the coalition toward the Sanfu region.
王国 is the late-Han rebel leader whose failed siege of 陈仓 anchors the military half of Hanji 942. His army presses Chen Cang for more than eighty days, but 皇甫嵩 judges that the fortified city can hold and waits for the besiegers to exhaust themselves.
When Wang Guo withdraws in spring 189, Huangfu Song pursues the tired and disordered army, defeating it and killing more than ten thousand men in the episode’s account. The defeat triggers a leadership crisis on the rebel side: Wang Guo is removed, 韩遂 coerces 阎忠 into taking nominal command, and the coalition weakens through internal conflict.
