王吉 / Wang Ji (late Han)
Hanji 915 presents 王吉 / Wang Ji as 王甫’s adopted son and the Pei chancellor whose local violence becomes part of the case against Wang Fu’s family network. The episode says Wang Ji killed more than 10,000 people during five years in office and displayed their bodies, making local administration look like private terror under eunuch protection.
The episode uses Wang Ji as the trigger that brings 阳球 into the case. Yang Qiu is appointed sili xiaowei after saying he cannot tolerate Wang Ji’s cruelty, then combines that outrage with 杨彪’s report about Wang Fu’s retainers to attack the wider network.
This page keeps Wang Ji distinct from 王稽 / Wang Ji (Qin). The Hanji 915 transcript renders the name as 王杰, but the wiki normalizes the late-Han official here as 王吉.
