王全斌 / Wang Quanbin

Wang Quanbin / 王全斌 is a Song general in 170.宋太祖之死：烛影斧声，阴谋论中的人性谜团（下）’s account of the conquest of Shu. The episode says that after victory, commanders turned promised rewards into plunder, coercion, and violence in Chengdu and the surrounding region.

His treatment of 全师雄 and the wider suppression of Shu soldiers are used to show that early 北宋 unification cannot be reduced to a benevolent “王师” narrative. Even a strategically rational 先南后北 policy could create local suffering when conquest discipline failed.
