魏咎 / Wei Jiu
魏咎 / Wei Jiu enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·秦纪》117-1｜啪啪打脸！历史上“爽文”的开山鼻祖 as a Wei royal survivor after Qin destroys 魏国. The episode pairs him with 魏豹: after 王贲 floods 大梁 and 魏王假 surrenders, the two survive temporarily as commoners.
The source does not develop Wei Jiu’s own biography. His role is connective: he marks the way a destroyed Warring States royal house can leave loose surviving figures who later become available in the Chen Sheng and Chu-Han era.
Qinji 128-8 pays off that availability. 周市 captures old Wei territory but refuses to become king himself, repeatedly asking 陈胜 to release Wei Jiu so a former Wei royal descendant can hold the title. Chen Sheng agrees, Wei Jiu goes to Wei territory, and is installed as Wei king with Zhou Shi as chancellor.
