卫怀君 / Lord Huai of Wey appears in 《资治通鉴·秦纪》100-1｜皇帝中的超长待机王过世了 as the 卫国 ruler who goes to see 魏安釐王 and is killed by him. The episode links this to Wey’s degraded position under 魏国 and to the broader late-Warring-States order in which even a pressured Wei can still dominate a smaller polity.
His death is therefore used less as a biography than as an instance of 弱者向更弱者转嫁压迫. 魏国 suffers repeated losses and humiliation before 秦国, but Wei Anxi Wang still exercises lethal authority downward against Wey and then installs Huaijun’s brother 卫元君.
