吴广 / Wu Guang

吴广 / Wu Guang enters this wiki branch through 《资治通鉴·秦纪》124|焚书坑儒?!我在B站为秦始皇平反! as the paired figure in the later 陈胜、吴广 uprising. That episode only uses him as part of the turning point that follows Qin’s book-burning policy and makes 孔鲋’s hidden-book waiting strategy look historically justified.

Qinji 128-2 makes Wu Guang an active co-leader of the 大泽乡起义. The source identifies him as from Yangxia near Chen County and says he and 陈胜 are 屯长 over a nine-hundred-person force delayed by heavy rain while headed toward Yuyang.

Wu Guang’s role is paired rather than separately individualized in this source. Together with Chen Sheng, he faces the 误期死局式起义触发, helps kill the unit commanders, persuades the soldiers to rebel, and supports the 起义天命制造 strategy around Fusu, Xiang Yan, fish-belly writing, and fox-cry rumor.

Qinji 128-3 carries Wu Guang from co-launcher into Zhang Chu command structure. The episode begins with Chen Sheng as general and Wu Guang as commandant, then closes after Chen Sheng’s kingship by making Wu Guang acting Zhang Chu king and assigning him to supervise westward operations against 荥阳.

Qinji 129-1 gives Wu Guang’s endpoint in the current branch. He besieges 荥阳, which the source frames as a strategic route and granary-adjacent position defended by 李由, but cannot take it after repeated attacks. After 周文 / 周章 is defeated by 章邯, 田臧 and other generals argue that Wu Guang’s stalled siege risks trapping the army and kill him by falsely claiming 陈胜’s order.

The episode keeps Wu Guang’s death politically unresolved. It states that Chen Sheng is angry but does not punish Tian Zang and instead promotes him, while the host’s claim that Chen Sheng may have tacitly approved the killing remains a source-scoped inference under 战时统帅斩首.
