伍琼 / Wu Qiong (late Han)
Hanji 949 adds Wu Qiong’s earlier recruitment-channel role before the fatal relocation dispute. The source names him with 周毖, 郑泰, and 何颙 as one of the officials used by 董卓 to remove corrupt officials and bring respected people into office.
That makes Wu Qiong’s later execution more than a simple dissent case. In the source sequence, Dong Zhuo first needs officials like Wu Qiong to make rule look reparative, then treats disagreement as punishable once the same officials no longer support his direction.
伍琼 / Wu Qiong enters the wiki through Hanji 951 as the city-gate commandant who opposes 董卓’s forced relocation from 洛阳 to 长安. The source summary renders him as “吴琼”; the wiki normalizes the name to 伍琼 while treating the transcript spelling as source-scoped.
His significance is the lethal limit of court opposition. After 杨彪 and 黄琬 are removed, Wu Qiong and 周毖 are arrested and executed for resisting the move. Hanji 951 therefore makes him a compact case of feedback turning into punishment under coercive capital relocation.
