吴祐 / Wu You (late Han)
Updated · 1 episodes · 1 show · 1 source notes
Overview
吴祐 / Wu You is the general-in-chief’s longshi in Hanji 830 who argues for 李固 after 梁冀 reasserts the accusation. His defense cannot save Li Gu, but it marks an officeholder still willing to make the cost of the accusation public.
Current Profile
Hanji 830 gives Wu You a short but sharp intervention. When Liang Ji again accuses Li Gu after the release order, Wu You argues on Li Gu’s behalf and challenges 马融 over the written charge, asking how they will answer the world if Li Gu dies.
Liang Ji does not accept the warning. After Li Gu and Du Qiao die, Liang moves Wu You out as Hejian kingdom minister; Wu You refuses the posting, resigns, and later dies at home. The page treats him as a failed correction voice inside Liang Ji’s own administrative orbit.
Key Characteristics

- Uses public accountability language against the written criminal charge.
- Cannot prevent Li Gu’s prison death once Liang Ji insists.
- Is moved away from the court center through a Hejian appointment.
- Chooses resignation rather than accepting Liang Ji’s relocation.

Qualifications
This page is bounded to Hanji 830. It does not resolve Wu You’s full career, the exact bureaucratic mechanics of the Hejian appointment, or Ma Rong’s broader responsibility for the accusation text.
What Changed
- Created Wu You as the internal defense voice who challenges Liang Ji’s Li Gu accusation.
- Added his resignation as a source-bounded exit after failed remonstrance.
Relationships
- 李固 - official whom Wu You defends during Liang Ji’s renewed accusation.
- 梁冀 - superior powerholder who ignores Wu You and later moves him out of the center.
- 马融 - charge drafter whom Wu You challenges over responsibility for Li Gu’s possible death.
- 杜乔 - paired prison-death victim in the same persecution sequence.
- 君臣反馈失灵 - broader failure where warning reaches the accusation process without changing the outcome.
- 安全第一政治生存 - adjacent frame because Wu You exits rather than serving inside Liang’s relocation arrangement.
