小平津 / Xiaopingjin enters the wiki through Hanji 946 as the Yellow River crossing area reached by 张让, 段珪, 刘辩 / 弘农王, and Liu Xie / 汉献帝 after the palace flight from 洛阳.
The place matters because it is where palace captivity turns into exposed flight. The imperial party has no full court escort and lacks the six seals; 闵贡 catches up, rebukes Zhang Rang, kills several eunuchs, and the remaining eunuchs jump into the river. Xiaopingjin therefore becomes the hinge between the 十常侍 collapse and the next episode’s 董卓 encounter.
