郗俭 / Xi Jian (late Han)

Hanji 939 backfills Xi Jian before the Mianzhu uprising. The input renders him as 郤俭 and describes the Yizhou inspector as a notorious extractor whose popular resentment reaches the capital, making 益州 look like a province where ordinary inspector authority has already lost support.

郗俭 / Xi Jian enters the wiki through Hanji 940 as the 益州 inspector killed when 马相 and 赵祗 rise at 绵竹. The source says Xi Jian had alienated the population through harsh extraction, making him a local trigger for the revolt’s rapid acceptance.

His page is therefore less a biography than a negative governance signal. In the episode’s people-support frame, Xi Jian shows how an official can lose practical protection before formal office disappears: once crisis arrives, the office does not produce a defendable social base.
