Overview

辛评 / Xin Ping (late Han) is a Yuan-side adviser whose bounded wiki role moves from insider persuasion in the Jizhou transfer to factional provocation in the 袁谭-袁尚 succession split, then to family-victim grievance when 邺城 falls. Hanji 1058 also makes him the elder brother of 辛毗, Yuan Tan’s later envoy to 曹操.

Current Profile

Hanji 956 introduces Xin Ping as a 韩馥-side insider or old associate used in 袁绍’s mission to persuade Han Fu to yield 冀州. His placement matters because the surrender argument is not delivered only by visible outsiders: Xin Ping helps make external pressure from Yuan Shao and 公孙瓒 sound actionable inside Han Fu’s own circle.

Hanji 1058 adds a later Yuan-family role. After Yuan Shao’s non-designation leaves Yuan Tan and Yuan Shang in rivalry, Xin Ping appears with 郭图 telling Yuan Tan that 审配 caused his succession disadvantage by arranging his adoption out to an elder line. The episode then identifies Xin Ping’s younger brother Xin Pi as the envoy Yuan Tan sends to Cao Cao for aid after Yuan Shang besieges him.

Hanji 1063 adds the cost of factional violence at Ye’s fall. Xin Ping’s family has been imprisoned inside Ye, and when the city breaks he rushes in expecting to rescue them. He instead learns that Shen Pei has already ordered them killed, then confronts and whips the captured Shen Pei while Shen Pei blames Xin Ping’s side for bringing Cao’s devastation onto Jizhou.
