严白虎 / Yan Baihu enters the wiki through Hanji 996 as a local armed strongman in the Wu region. After 朱治 drives out the Wu commandery administrator, the displaced official turns toward Yan Baihu for protection, showing how disorder pushes formal officeholders toward non-state force.

Hanji 1004 also names Yan Baihu as a lower-priority Jiangdong threat when 孙策 chooses to strike 会稽郡 rather than clear every local strongman first. Across the two source notes, Yan Baihu functions less as a narrated protagonist than as a sign of fragmented local power.
