阎忠 / Yan Zhong (late Han)

阎忠 appears in Hanji 942 as a former Xindu official from Hanyang whom 韩遂 coerces into leading the rebel coalition after 王国 is removed. His role is nominal and unstable rather than a sign of consolidated leadership.

Yan Zhong soon dies of illness, after which Han Sui’s side turns inward and weakens through mutual attacks. The episode uses this as a concise illustration of interest-structured alliance fragility: once Wang Guo’s campaign fails, the coalition’s shared front gives way to disputes over command and survival.
