于扶罗 / Yufuluo Chanyu
Hanji 939 gives Yufuluo’s succession origin before his later failed appeal and Baibo branch. After the Han court requisitions 南匈奴 cavalry for 刘虞’s campaign against 张纯, 醯落 and the 屠各胡 kill Yufuluo’s father 羌渠 and install Yufuluo as chanyu.
Hanji 949 backfills Yufuluo’s crisis before his later central-plains appearances. The source says rebels inside the 南匈奴 support a rival chanyu, so Yufuluo goes to 洛阳 to seek Han court intervention just as 汉灵帝 dies and 董卓’s disorder makes judgment unavailable.
Yufuluo then joins with 白波军 forces to attack commanderies and counties, but local fortified settlements deny him the expected plunder and he loses troops. Because his own people refuse his return, he remains in Pingyang, making this source an earlier explanation for why he later appears as a mobile armed actor around Yuan Shao, Cao Cao, and Yuan Shu.
Hanji 956 places Yufuluo earlier in the Yuan Shao-Zhang Yang field: he camps with 张杨 near the Zhang River while local forces gather around 袁绍. The source does not explain his independent aims, so the claim remains a placement marker before later battlefield roles.
Hanji 961 adds Yufuluo before the Yuan Shu and death-notice branches. After 于毒 withdraws from 东武阳, 曹操 advances to 内黄之战 and defeats 眭固 together with Yufuluo, who is identified as the 南匈奴 chanyu.
This episode does not explain Yufuluo’s independent aims. It places him inside the loose force field around Yu Du and Sui Gu, making the Neihuang notice an earlier sign that frontier and insurgent military actors were available in central-plains conflicts before later sources attach Yufuluo to 袁术 or record his succession.
Hanji 969 adds an earlier active role before the later death notice. The episode says 于扶罗 and Black Mountain remnants support 袁术 when Yuan Shu is forced by 刘表 and then pursued by 曹操, making him part of the unstable force market around the 193 CE Yuan Shu retreat.
于扶罗 / Yufuluo Chanyu is later noted in Hanji 998 as the 南匈奴 chanyu whose death is recorded near the episode’s end. His younger brother 呼厨泉 succeeds him.
