于贵人 / Yu Guiren (late Han)

Hanji 916 introduces Yu Guiren through her 179 CE funeral. The source identifies her as a favored woman of Emperor Shun of Han and the mother of Emperor Chong of Han, then says she later chose to guard Xianling and stay out of court affairs, earning the remembered name 宪陵贵人.

Her political role in the episode is indirect. The funeral procession creates the public scene in which 曹节 sees 王甫’s mutilated corpse by the roadside, rallies other palace eunuchs, and moves against 阳球 through 汉灵帝. Yu Guiren therefore becomes the ritual setting for a renewed eunuch regrouping rather than a direct factional actor.
