张敖 / Zhang Ao
张敖 / Zhang Ao enters the wiki through Hanji 169 as the Zhao king named among the regional rulers urging 刘邦 to accept the imperial title after 项羽’s death.
The source does not develop Zhang Ao’s biography. His narrow function is political: the accession petition presents Liu Bang’s new title as supported by several kings whose wartime or settlement positions now have to be folded into the emerging 西汉 order.
This page also keeps Zhang Ao separate from the earlier 张耳 page. Hanji 169 only needs him as a Zhao-side participant in the postwar recognition of Liu Bang’s kingship-to-emperorship transition.
