张霸 / Zhang Ba (late Han)
张霸 / Zhang Ba (late Han) enters the wiki through Hanji 1018 as the Taishan-area actor who captures Ju County and obtains substantial supplies. The episode says he had promised to share some of those goods with 吕布 but did not follow through.
Zhang Ba’s refusal becomes a leadership test for Lü Bu. 高顺 warns that if Lü Bu personally goes to demand the supplies and fails, his prestige will suffer. Lü Bu ignores the advice, Zhang Ba keeps the gates closed, and Lü Bu returns empty-handed, making Zhang Ba the external trigger for a feedback failure inside Lü Bu’s command.
Hanji 1026 continues the same local-force thread after Cao Cao defeats Lü Bu at 下邳. Zhang Ba first hides under Cao Cao’s bounty pressure, then becomes a broker who helps bring 吴敦, 尹礼, 孙观, and nearby forces toward Cao Cao.
The episode’s sharper character test comes when Cao Cao asks for 徐翕 and 毛晖’s heads. Zhang Ba refuses to sell out guests and friends under his protection, and Cao Cao recodes that refusal as old-style loyalty worth using. Zhang Ba therefore becomes a key case for 纳叛安抚式整合 rather than only an irritant to Lü Bu.
