张纯 / Zhang Chun (late Han)
Hanji 938 gives Zhang Chun’s rebellion origin before the later pacification pages. He is a Yuyang man and former Zhongshan xiang whose request to command recruited 乌桓 cavalry is denied by 张温 in favor of 公孙瓒. After the Wuhuan force is under-supplied and deserts near Ji, Zhang Chun’s resentment feeds his alliance with 张举 and 丘力居; he kills frontier officials, takes rebel titles, and sends documents demanding 汉灵帝 abdicate.
Hanji 939 backfills Zhang Chun as the target named in the court’s 幽州 response. 刘虞 is sent as Youzhou shepherd to handle the crisis, and the court orders 南匈奴 troops to support the campaign. That requisition triggers the 羌渠 killing and 于扶罗 succession chain captured by 边疆征发反噬.
张纯 is a late-Han rebel figure in Hanji 942, distinct from 张纯 / Zhang Chun (Western Han). The episode places him among the forces raiding 青州, 徐州, 幽州, and 冀州, with 丘力居 and other frontier forces amplifying the disorder.
公孙瓒 defeats Zhang Chun at Shimen and rescues captives, but the victory tempts him into an over-deep pursuit that ends with Qiu Liju surrounding him at Guanzi City. 刘虞 later offers rewards for Zhang Chun and 张举, helping turn the crisis from open rebellion into a surrender-and-dispersal sequence.
