赵伯鲁 / Zhao Bolu appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》04｜豫让 为智瑶复仇 as 赵简子’s eldest son, passed over in favor of 赵无恤 / 赵襄子. The episode says Zhao Xiangzi later remains attached to his elder brother’s memory and feels guilt over the displacement.
That memory drives Zhao Xiangzi’s succession choice. Instead of naming one of his own sons, Zhao Xiangzi favors Zhao Bolu’s line: Zhao Bolu’s son 代成君 is sent to Dai, and after Dai Chengjun dies, his son 赵献子 is designated as Zhao Xiangzi’s successor.
