赵简子 / Zhao Jianzi
赵简子 / Zhao Jianzi appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》04｜豫让 为智瑶复仇 as the Zhao patriarch whose succession choice shapes the later Zhao branch. The episode says he passes over his eldest son 赵伯鲁 and selects 赵无恤 / 赵襄子 because Zhao Wuxu best understands the task and can carry out the family’s strategic plan.
The page’s role is source-scoped: Zhao Jianzi is important here less as a full biographical subject than as the person whose succession judgment enables Zhao Wuxu’s conquest of 代国 and later complications around restoring Zhao Bolu’s line.
《资治通鉴·周纪》93丨在梦里藏着偷天改命？（2） adds Zhao Jianzi to a different Zhao-line pattern. The episode says 《史记》 uses his dream of traveling to Juntian as one of the four dreams that structure Zhao-family fortune, linking his dream to later conflict with Zhonghang and Zhi power and making him part of 梦兆叙事伏笔.
