《赵正书》 / Zhao Zheng Shu
《赵正书》 / Zhao Zheng Shu enters the wiki through Qinji 126 part 2 as a Western Han bamboo manuscript in the Peking University collection. The episode says Peking University accepted the donated overseas-returned bamboo slips in 2009 and identifies Zhao Zheng Shu as one of the texts relevant to Qin Shi Huang’s final tour.
The source uses Zhao Zheng Shu as an excavated-text supplement to 《史记》 and 《资治通鉴》. Its opening reportedly describes 秦始皇 falling seriously ill during his last tour and asking whether Heaven’s mandate could be changed. It also says he already knew a “mountain ghost” prophecy that he would die that year, but not the month or day.
For the wiki, the text matters less as a standalone chronicle than as a source-critical support for 游徙避命. In the episode’s reconstruction, Zhao Zheng Shu helps explain why Qin Shi Huang’s last tour might be more than ordinary inspection: it can be read as an attempt to change qi, fate, or timing after “祖龙死” has made the death warning personal.
《资治通鉴·秦纪》127-3｜海外回归一批竹简 揭开胡亥立帝之谜！ returns to Zhao Zheng Shu as a direct challenge to the received 《史记》 account of 胡亥 / 秦二世’s accession. In this version, Qin Shi Huang discusses the succession while still alive, 李斯 declares loyalty, and Li Si with 冯去疾 recommends establishing the nearby Hu Hai rather than summoning distant officials or waiting for 扶苏 from the northern frontier. The source therefore turns Zhao Zheng Shu from a final-tour motive supplement into evidence for 临终就近立储.
The same episode keeps Zhao Zheng Shu source-scoped. It does not prove the alternate account true; it records a serious conflict with the forged-edict tradition and leaves problems such as Feng Quji’s contested presence unresolved.
