赵忠 / Zhao Zhong (late Han)
Hanji 943 adds Zhao Zhong before his death in Hanji 946. 蹇硕 writes to Zhao Zhong and other palace attendants asking them to close the palace gates and kill 何进 before He Jin can strike first, but the proposal is blocked after 郭胜 gives the letter to He Jin.
The source matters because Zhao Zhong appears first as part of the attempted eunuch self-defense channel, not only as a later victim of the palace purge. The failed letter shows how fragmented that channel already is before the 十常侍 crisis hardens.
赵忠 / Zhao Zhong (late Han) enters the wiki through Hanji 946 as a named eunuch killed during the anti-eunuch backlash after 何进’s death. The episode places him near Zhuque Gate, where 袁绍 and 何苗 first capture and kill him before the broader palace killing expands.
His page is intentionally narrow. Zhao Zhong marks the transition from targeted revenge against leading 十常侍 figures into the larger purge in which Yuan Shao closes the North Palace gates and kills eunuchs indiscriminately.
