周勃 / Zhou Bo
周勃 / Zhou Bo enters the wiki through Hanji 144 as one of 刘邦’s officers who supports immediate war after Liu Bang is assigned to 汉中. The episode groups him with 灌婴 and 樊哙 as commanders whose anger makes Liu Bang’s threatened attack politically useful inside the camp even if it would be militarily disastrous.
His source role is therefore less a developed biography than an internal-morale signal. 萧何’s counsel has to redirect not only Liu Bang but also the fighting mood of officers who do not want the Hanzhong demotion to look like submission.
Hanji 150 part 3 brings Zhou Bo back as 陈平’s partner in the post-吕雉 transition. During Empress Lu’s regency, the source says Zhou Bo and Chen Ping do not openly resist Lu-family elevation in the way 王陵 does; after Lu Zhi dies, they join the move to remove Lu-family power and restore the Liu line under 刘恒 / Emperor Wen of Han.
Hanji 150 part 4 gives that partnership two concrete mechanisms. First, Zhou Bo accompanies Chen Ping on 刘邦’s order to kill 樊哙, and the two choose custody and transport instead of immediate execution. Second, under Lu Zhi, the source says Chen Ping and Zhou Bo publicly appear estranged while privately preserving the ability to coordinate later against the Lu faction.
Hanji 153 part 2 adds an earlier conflict with Chen Ping. In the immediate post-Pengcheng recovery period, Zhou Bo joins 灌婴 and other old generals in accusing Chen Ping before Liu Bang. Here Zhou Bo belongs to the veteran circle reacting against a rapidly promoted outsider, a reversal of his later paired survival work with Chen Ping.
Hanji 154 sharpens the accusation scene by treating Zhou Bo’s “盗嫂” claim as likely political slander. The host emphasizes that Zhou Bo is a Pei County old follower rather than someone close to Chen Ping’s Yangwu/Huyou family background, so his ability to know an intimate family scandal is doubtful. This keeps the charge source-scoped as a veteran-backlash tactic rather than as settled knowledge about Chen Ping.
Hanji 167 part 2 adds a direct battlefield role. At the 垓下之战, Zhou Bo and 柴武 command the third line in 韩信’s formation. After 项羽 breaks through the first line and 刘邦’s second line without making the coalition collapse, the Zhou Bo / Chai Wu line becomes the stopping layer that lets 纵深分层防御 close into encirclement.
Hanji 182 part 2 adds a post-founding suppression role. Zhou Bo attacks 马邑 and helps press 韩王信 with Chai Wu during the 陈豨之乱 cleanup. The episode’s note that Mayi is slaughtered after capture puts Zhou Bo’s branch inside the harsher coercive side of Liu Bang’s northern campaign.
Hanji 189 gives Zhou Bo a stronger version of that cleanup role, saying he pacifies Dai, Yanmen, and Yunzhong, pursues to Dangcheng, and kills 陈豨. This conflicts with the Hanji 182 part 2 / 樊哙 attribution, so the wiki keeps it as a source-scoped variant.
