庄辛 / Zhuang Xin enters the wiki through 《资治通鉴·周纪》82丨大秦的核武器：白起来了！ as the 楚国 adviser whose warning to 楚顷襄王 becomes legible only after disaster. The episode cites 《战国策》 for his earlier criticism that Chu Qingxiang Wang was absorbed in pleasure and leaving the state exposed.
After 白起 breaks the Chu capital region, the king recalls Zhuang Xin and asks for a remedy. Zhuang Xin’s answer is the branch behind “亡羊补牢”: seeing the hare and calling the hound, or repairing the pen after losing sheep, is still not too late. The episode uses him to shift the Chu story from collapse to partial recovery, because his warning leads the king to face danger, appoint him as Yangling Jun, and recover some Huai River territory.
