子夏 / Zi Xia

子夏 / Zi Xia appears in 《资治通鉴·周纪》05｜光彩夺目的魏文侯（1） as one of the Confucian scholars whom 魏文侯 honors as a teacher. The source identifies him as Bu Shang, courtesy name Zixia, a major disciple of 孔子 whose learning is associated with classics, ritual, and music rather than “literature” in the modern narrow sense.
